What would I do without facebook or doggie doo duty (which sometimes rates the same)?
Answer. WORK! For example check in on the website and update my blog page. I could also meditate or clean bathrooms. However, at times those two can also be found in to my extensive toolbox of procrastination tools.
I am asking myself why it is so difficult getting started with a task just because it is on my to-do-list. True and sad story: I started this blog post about procrastination no less than three days ago.
I am no Maya Angelou or Astrid Lindgren -yet- but I really like to write. I love to string together words, weigh different options depending on what I want to say. Nuances. Play with words. Tweak and switch around. It should be said that my brilliance shines best in Swedish (oh how I love Rachael who taught me to be the best in being humble….). Anyway, getting done what I love to do, took me three days of circling the computer. Seriously? Three days ago, when I had spent an obscene amount of time on facebook, I decided that cleaning the backyard of you-know-what was a much better choice than finishing the blog. However, I actually created the blog post in my head, poop picker-upper in hand and all. It was witty, profound and very insightful. Unfortunately it never made it into the Edit Post page. Strangely enough.
Have a great weekend, y’all!
